BCMS tribal council students participate in this year's Christmas Cheer Toy Drive shopping. $4,117 raised which purchased 950 gifts! Thank you to all of our school supporters who contributed to this year's drive!





While the 8th graders experienced the Reality Fair last Friday, Mrs. Schepman's 6th graders were learning real life as well; in the form of taxes and tips as part of their Fractions/Decimals/Percents unit!




BCMS grade 8 students participate in the JCIDC Reality Fair at Seymour Middle School. Our students enjoyed their experience today! BCMS would like to thank the event organizers and our SMS hosts!




BCMS grade 7 students made ornaments and decorated a tree for the History Center Tree Contest. It opened Tuesday for the public. Drop by, check out the trees on display, and vote BCMS Grade 7 for your favorite!

BCCSC schools are closed today, Tuesday, December 2nd.
After reading an adaptation of the novel Frankenstein, Mrs. Lawson's 8th grade ELA students completed projects which included art projects, skits, slideshows, and essays.




BCHS FFA members introduce the opportunities that FFA offers to 8th graders as they begin to think about the classes they will take in high school.


After practicing simplifying fractions last evening at home, Mrs. Schepman's 6th grade math students go head-to-head in class today playing Fraction Battleship.

The BCMS "6th" and "7th" grade math teachers represent their grades.....Oh....... and the popular slang phrase 6 - 7 ...... for Halloween!!



Grade 7 Tech Ed students construct animated scenes. Students picked a scene from a movie, book, or historical moment. They recreate the scene using programming technology. Students bring the scenes to life with programmed lighting and motors to create movement.





BCMS recognized its fall sports athletes. Pictured are the cross country team, the boys tennis team, and the BCMS fall cheerleaders. After introductions, grade levels competed in the some fun end-of-season games to conclude our time together.




BCMS students receive their YOU CAN tee shirts and then listen to Bob Mortimer speak about dignity, respect, and making good choices that will not "handy cap" their future. BOB . . . Be Our Best!!!



Persimmon fever has hit the BCMS ag classes. BCMS ag students took time to use a hand crank food mill to process persimmons into persimmon pulp. After discovering that maybe "it's not as easy as it looks", the students took the time to enjoy the fruits of their labor.



Mrs. Johnson's grade 6 social studies students engage in a “Walking Podcast” activity while enjoying the fall October morning.


BCMS Ag students enjoyed, or "tried to enjoy," arugula salad from their fall garden. Although a few students went back for seconds, most agreed one helping was enough. Arugula has a peppery and slightly bitter taste along with a distinct aroma that many weren't excited about :)


Today is National Custodian Day, also known as National Custodial Worker's Recognition Day. It is an annual day of appreciation for the custodians and janitors who keep our schools, workplaces, and other facilities clean, safe, and well-maintained. To our custodial staff here at BCMS: Richard, Jeff, Cindy, and Regina . . . THANK YOU!!!
